Josh Nees

 
 
 

Josh Nees has been with Matrix Performing Arts since 2014 working as a quad tech. Currently, he is a battery instructor for The Madison Scouts and teaches percussion at various high schools throughout Northeast Ohio. Josh marched with The Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps for five consecutive seasons from 2008 to 2012. During the indoor season he marched at Matrix from 2010 to 2013.

Josh performed with the Cleveland Browns Drumline and is a current performer with the Cleveland Cavaliers 216Stix. They perform at the team’s home games and many other events in the local area. He performed at the 2016 NBA All-Star Game in Toronto, Canada and at the 2022 NBA All-Star Game in Cleveland.

Josh holds a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Baldwin Wallace University. He currently lives in Akron, Ohio where he works as a performer, teacher, and actor/model. This will be Josh’s twelfth season on staff with Matrix Performing Arts.
