Ian Ko

Ian started his marching snare career during his time at the University of Minnesota on the drumline, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Management Information Systems. During that period, he marched various local groups including River City Rhythm Drum & Bugle corps (2021), RCR Indoor Percussion (2022), and MBI Indoor Percussion (2023). Most recently, he finished his marching career, aging out with Matrix World (2024). Currently, Ian is teaching in the Northeast Ohio area as a battery instructor and also teaching as a visual instructor at MBI Indoor Percussion. Aside from band, Ian grew up as a competitive dancer for 10 years at Summit Dance Shoppe in Plymouth, MN. Ian is very excited for the season and the opportunity to give back to a program that means so much to him.
