Member Protection Policy / Procedures — Matrix Performing Arts

Member Protection, Policies, and Procedures

Matrix Performing Arts (“MPA” or “Matrix”) has adopted the WGI Code of Conduct for Participating Groups and requires that all members, staff, and volunteers accept and act under the policies and procedures outlined within said Code of Conduct. Matrix reserves the right to act through appropriate measures to ensure the safety and well-being of the group regarding this Code of Conduct. The WGI Code of Conduct may be found here: Code of Conduct

In addition, the WGI Participant Protection Reporting Policy, also adopted by MPA, sets forth WGI’s expectation that all individuals associated with WGI-sanctioned events shall report certain kinds of misconduct without exception. Anyone who receives information of any kind (oral or written, “informal” or “formal”) suggesting that misconduct related to member safety has occurred must report the matter immediately to Matrix and may do so confidentially and/or anonymously using the misconduct reporting form below. The WGI Participant Protection Reporting Policy may be found here: WGI Participant Protection Reporting Policy

All Matrix instructional and managerial staff having regular contact with or authority over the members undergo background checks and complete the SafeSport training in accordance with WGI participant protection policies.

All reports will be securely and confidentially submitted to three members of the MPA board of directors, none of whom are involved in the daily operations of Matrix. This guarantees that each report will be managed by a suitable and impartial party. You may also reach out directly to any member of the MPA Board of Directors at any time.
