Peter Bates

Peter is a freelance visual designer, choreographer, and clinician based in American Fork, UT. Peter marched in high school with the American Fork High School marching band, where he is now the visual caption head and drill designer. Following high school, Peter marched with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle corps for five years (2013-2017), and marched cymbals with Matrix in 2018.

Since his ageout, Peter has been involved with Matrix first as a visual and cymbal tech, and now as the video and lighting designer. In addition to sourcing and modifying video, Peter creates custom content for Matrix World. He was on staff with the Phantom Regiment (2019-2020), and is currently on the visual staff with the Boston Crusaders.

Outside of the pageantry arts, Peter spends his time with his fiancé and cat. Peter loves coffee, travel, and KPOP.
